How well am I running for God?
Hebrews Ch. 12 Personal Application Questions:
v.1 Do the Biblical examples of the lives and choices of its faithful witnesses strengthen my endurance? Which ones are the most meaningful to me? Why?
v.1 Have I laid aside the encumbrances and sins that hinder me from running with endurance?
v.2 Do I go through life with my eyes fixed on Jesus and the example of His endurance?
v.3 Have I received such criticism or hostility from others that I have grown weary and discouraged?
v.5 Do I regard God’s discipline of me lightly, or am I careful to let Him correct my course, my attitude, my style of relating to others, and so forth?
v.6 Do I view God’s discipline as an expression of His love for me?
v.10 Am I letting God’s discipline change me for the better—unto His holiness?
v.12-13 How strong is my commitment to running the race?
v.12-13 Am I careful not to be weak or lax, or to stray off course?
v.14 Am I pursuing peace and holiness in my relationships with others?
v.15 Do I have any roots of bitterness that are causing me trouble?
v.24-25 Am I heeding Christ’s instruction and guidance?
v.25 How often during the race, do I refuse Him who speaks to me?
v.26-28 Is God’s kingdom the solid foundation of my life’s race, or is it something that can be shaken?
v.28 Am I serving God “acceptably with reverence and Godly fear”?
v.29 How compassionately do I view the lost whose only alternative to faith in Christ is everlasting judgment?
