2 Timothy: Winning the Victory Excerpts

Six excerpts in six weeks. Every week I’ve posted an excerpt from my Bible study, 2 Timothy: Winning the Victory, about how to win the spiritual battles of life and ministry. You can find these excerpts on my blog by looking for the picture above or by clicking on the links below.

Is victory possible? Does God show us how to win our everyday battles with temptation, fear, selfishness, spiritual harassment, and opposition to the gospel? What “battle plan” does He lay out for dealing with life’s obstacles and hindrances? Just as Paul passed on principles to Timothy, his son in the faith, God has passed on to us the practical truths and encouragement we need to win our spiritual battles. Victory is possible because God makes it possible. In Christ, we win. We survive. We excel.

This Bible study can be used as a personal 40-day devotional or as an 8-week group study. A leader guide is provided in the back of the book.

As I was writing this book, I needed the principles in it as much as anyone else. God used the truths of 2 Timothy to show me how to win my spiritual battles, and He still is today. This short but powerful book of the Bible has a special place in my Scriptural arsenal. I pray that the principles of this book show you how God makes victory possible and what our part is in winning it. Fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith (2 Tim 4:7)! When we turn to God for help and do His will for our lives, He does amazing things in us and through us. Don’t give up the fight. The end result will be worth it.
