In the Footprints of Love

Love walked this earth so long ago.

A compassionate heart, a healing touch, powerful words.

He saw the needy and didn’t turn them away.

He called the broken and weary to come to Him.

The Lord chose His disciples and they followed Him,

Through mountains and valleys, crowded streets and lonely roads.

They walked in the footprints of love and learned how to serve.

They saw the heart of God in action—helping, teaching, rescuing.

The footprints of love traveled to Calvary.

Nailed to the cross, the Lord bore our sin.

He gave Himself willingly, dying in our place.

With each agonizing breath, Love showed us the mercies of God.

They laid Him in a tomb, but death could not triumph.

Love came to life again, and He rallied His followers.

They followed Him to the mount and saw Him ascend to heaven.

They waited for the Holy Spirit to enable them to love fully.

Now we walk in His footprints as He guides us to love others.

The Lord works with us, in us, and through us.

Till we step from earth into heaven, we can walk in His love,

And show every soul that they are precious to God.

Will you walk in the footprints of love today?

Who around you needs to know that God and His love are real?

May we never miss the opportunity to follow Jesus and walk with Him.

In His power and in His love.

Walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma. Ephesians 5:2 NKJV
