Not Alone: A Promise for God’s Children

“For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” (Hebrews 13:5 NKJV).

On life’s journey, you don’t travel alone.
On every steep path, in every dark turn, you have a Companion for the road.
He shares each step with you, shining His light on the next step and the next.

In life’s race, you don’t run alone.
When every muscle aches, when you feel like giving up, you have a Sustainer running with you.
He supplies enough grace for each leg of the race and sets the pace all the way to the finish line.

In life’s battles, you don’t fight alone.
Through every long night, in every heartfelt prayer, your Commander stands guard, protecting you and enabling you.
He slays the darkness and infuses your spirit with the strategy for victory and the strength to carry it out.

Look to Him. God is with each of His children. He never leaves us. No ache is too big that He can’t cure, and no night is too long that His light won’t conquer. When you feel like giving up, remember that your great God is with you. He holds you, loves you, and comforts you. He gives you His grace—whatever you need at the moment to keep going. He enables you to rise above the challenges and walk in victory and to help others along the way. Tell others the promise: He is with us.

I’d like to tell you about another source of encouragement that has blessed me. My friend, Erin Elizabeth Austin, has a website and Facebook page full of encouragement for people who are looking to rise above life’s challenges victoriously. Visit her blog Broken but Priceless Ministries, and soak in the hope and healing it gives for life’s problems and challenges. At the end of this month, Erin will be a guest blogger for Life With God, and next month I will have the privilege of interviewing her. So check back for more hope and encouragement!
