A Thanksgiving Prayer – By Sharon Barnett

"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." Psalm 28:7, NIV

Heavenly Father we are grateful to the One who gives us strength,

Who protects us in uncertain times.

Only You, O Lord, do we completely trust to be our helper and provider.

On this Thanksgiving Day we are grateful for the opportunity to gather with family and friends and to give thanks for our food, our home, and our health.

We leap for joy in the freedom we receive from Jesus Christ.

Let us thank Him with a melody of love that is in our hearts to the One who gave His life for us.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

I love Sharon's prayer and with thanksgiving will pray it for myself. We have much to be thankful for. Even with darkness and uncertainty surrounding us, we can leap for joy and sing melodies of love because of Christ Jesus. Thank you, Sharon and Katy.

Thank you for liking the prayer.  I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving. Yes, we have so much to be thankful for- especially for Jesus Christ who paid the price so we can be free from all that hinders us.
