An Upcoming Release: Heart Renovation

Whoo-hoo!! God gave us a double blessing this week.

Just as we were finishing our group’s new compilation, Heart Renovation: A Construction Guide to Godly Character, we learned that our 2017 compilation is a finalist in the Selah Awards at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference. Breaking the Chains: Strategies for Overcoming Spiritual Bondage is a finalist in the Bible Studies category. What a blessing!

Our new compilation will be released next month. Heart Renovation is written by thirty authors and has sixty article-length Bible studies. This encouraging and insightful book is a warm-hearted powerhouse of a study on growing in Christlikeness. It is full of strategies that help us to implement the principles of heart renovation and to overcome its hindrances. The book has already affected my heart, and I can’t wait to share it with the world!

The back cover pinpoints its message.

Heart Renovation: A Construction Guide to Godly Character

How does God make our character more like Christ’s?
What is His part, and what is ours?

“Under construction” is the condition of our hearts as children of God. He is the Contractor in charge, and Christ’s likeness is His flawless design. We contribute to the process by cooperating with His work within us and by following the principles and instructions of His word. Then transformation happens.

This Bible study compilation is a construction guide to building godly character and overcoming the hidden problems that sabotage it. It explores how God works in our lives and gives us wisdom to handle such real-life issues as unwanted change, grief, loneliness, financial debt, and difficult people. It shares God’s blueprints for a renovated heart by looking at Jesus’ character, godly people in the Bible, the Fruit of the Spirit, and the Beatitudes. It also discusses how to help our children grow in godly character.

Whether your heart renovation started recently or years ago, this book will encourage you to continue to cooperate with God until the job is done. After all, the goal and the reward is building a heart like His.

A leader guide for a group study is included.

Heart Renovation is great for personal Bible study. Each of its studies can be read in 5-10 minutes. The end of the studies have questions and a prayer to help us personalize what we have read. It can also be used for group Bible studies. The questions help to form a basis for discussing vital truths and to hear from group members about their journey of constructing a character like God’s. A leader guide in the back shows how to adjust this thirteen-week study to fit any time frame. A preview of what’s in the book follows.

Renovation of a human heart is a major project, and we have the best Project Manager ever. It is our prayer that God will use this book to progress His good work within us and to inspire our cooperation as He constructs a character in each of us, in the likeness of His own.
