What Easter Means to Us

Easter represents hope, glory, beauty, and life. Every Easter we celebrate the glory of Christ’s resurrection and the beauty of new life found in Him. As believers, we honor Jesus’ death which paid for our sin, and remember His sacrifice. But the story didn’t end there. Three days after He died, Jesus rose from the dead—a living Savior! For anyone who believes in Him, Jesus gives new life, eternal life. Hallelujah, what a Savior!

This month leading up to Easter, I’ve asked four friends to tell you what Easter means to them. Every Tuesday, I will post one of their devotions, and on the last Tuesday of the month, I will post my devotion describing what Easter means to me. I am excited to host a month-long celebration of what Jesus did for us and of His resurrection power! The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is the power that God uses to work in us and through us (Ephesians 1:18-21).

As you read the posts of what Easter means to us, share your own thoughts in the comments about what Easter means to you. Share how God has given you new life and used His power to give you hope instead of anguish, courage over fear, or freedom out of bondage. Jesus is alive—we have a hope-giving message to share with the world! In Jesus, we find perfect love, complete forgiveness, and new life. Let’s celebrate!
