The Writer as a Jeweler

I’m starting a jewelry and craft business this spring. I hope to have a shop on Etsy called “Olga’s Dresser,” named after an heirloom that belonged to my great-great grandmother. On top of this antique dresser, I plan to take pictures of the jewelry and journals I make, signifying that many of them will have the look of the past with some style and flare of the present.

Making jewelry has given me a new perspective on writing. I love matching just the right colored beads and pearls with just the right chains and rings. The jeweler is an artist. So is the writer.
