How can I choose just one? But the Five Alls of Grace are a reminder that our failures don’t diminish His grace, and He uses us when we are willing to be used.

I’m grateful for that, Barbara! God is so patient with me. A patient Father. And He wants us to get back on His path when we have stumbled. Or to try again if we had trouble doing something He called us to. I like the part especially about His grace not diminishing. ~Katy

Wow. I love all these quotes. Hebrews 4:16 is one of my go to Bible verses.
The one dealing with brokenness would be my favorite. My first wife began having severe back pain. In the early fall of 2016. The pain only worsened as fall moved towards winter, and she gradually lost the use of her legs. She had suffered from sciatica most of our married life, and efforts to find the cause of her pain focused on back issues. Matters came to a head on December 22nd. When I awoke she was talking to someone on the phone, even though her phone was still on its charger. She did not know I was even near her. I called 911, and with difficulty got her to the emergency. Within an hour the ER personnel had diagnosed her with kidney failure (explaining the dpisorientstio) , sepsis, an often fatal blood infection, and worst of all, breast cancer which had spread to her spinal cord, and to other parts of her body. The first two might kill her,and the cancer was so widespread it was untreatable. (I couldn’t help but think about how much she hated mammograms, and how she put them off whenever she could.
My head was spinning from this worse than expected news. The ER was able to get her kidneys to restart. She was admitted to ICU. After two weeks she was able to go home under hospice care. She passed away three weeks later. My memory of this is sketchy. I was doing what I had to do next, and there was always a next. What rest I got was curled up on a love seat in the same room as her hospital bed. Thankfully church friends and neighbors brought food and helped as they could. Three weeks to the day after she came home she was in the Lord’s arms.
God’s grace and mercy sustained me through these 5 weeks. Much of the time I was too tired to pray, for if I sat down I would quickly fall asleep. I know many were praying for me as well as for Becky. I firmly believe that the Holy Spirit was intercepting on my behalf as well.
I thank God that I am always eelcome before God’s throne of grace.

Wow, Amen to being welcome to His throne of grace. I’m so sorry for these difficulties and how fast she deteriorated. I am grateful that God sustained you through it. It sounds like you truly found His grace to be sufficient. Thank you for sharing. When we go through the hardest things, I am grateful that God knows what to do and He helps us to do it. ~Katy
