Be Ready for Mixed Responses

Ch. 14:  When you are doing the work that God gives you, be ready for mixed responses.

v.1-7  The gospel can be met with faith from some, and resistance from others who have had their minds poisoned against the truth.

v.8-18  Some people may refuse to see past you, to God.

Other Application – 3 errors of man:
1)  attributing to God’s servants what God does, and therefore exalting men as gods
2)  staying turned toward useless things instead of toward the living God
3)  walking in their own ways, not in God’s

v.19-20  Don’t let the intensity of opposition, kill the progress of your work.

v.21-23  Continue to make disciples, and strengthen the souls of believers.

v.24-28  Complete the work that God gives you, for He is working through you.
