12 Bible Verses that Give Grace for Life’s Spiritual Battles

by Katy Kauffman

When we wonder if we can overcome fierce spiritual battles, God often reminds us that He can. His power is great enough, and He gives us His grace. He gives us the desire and ability to do His will.

God’s Word is a grace-infuser for our souls. The next time you wonder if you can truly defeat fear, worry, anger, or any other spiritual enemy, count on the promises and truths of God’s Word. They are unshakeable, just like the One who spoke them into existence. Just like the One who is always ready to help us and supply the grace we need.

I appreciate all these verses, but Psalm 34:4 has an extra special meaning for me. When I was desperately in need of rescue–He was there waiting for me to reach out to Him. He loved me in spite of my sin, forgave me, and set me on the pathway to walk with Him. He stayed with me to guide me along His path. That’s LOVE.

Psalm 34:4 is one of my favorites because it reminds me to pray and seek God for peace, not look for it elsewhere. I know Psalm 18:3 as a song (maybe from helping with VBS or children’s choir long ago), and I sing it when I have troubling thoughts or to set my mood before a challenging task or day. All these verses are awesome!
