Be Our Unshakeable Refuge: A Prayer Based on Psalm 46

Read Psalm 46, and then the prayer below. May our hearts always claim God as our refuge and strength.

O God, You are our refuge and strength, always ready to help, always sufficient to handle anything (v.1).

Even if the whole earth shakes, we don’t have to fear (v.2-3).

Even if the oceans roar, there’s quiet and calm in Your presence (v.4).

O God, be our unshakeable strength, our Protector and Champion (v.5).

Even if kingdoms rage and nations are overthrown, Your might is the strongest of all (v.6).

You are the LORD of spiritual hosts, an incomparable refuge (v.7).

O God, You know how to win the victory (v.9).

Help us to be still and be convinced that You are God, perfect in power and wisdom, able to handle all the battles we face (v.10).

You are always with us, an unskakeable refuge always (v.11).
