A Prayer for Writers of Scripture-Based Content

My heart is overflowing with a good theme;
I recite my composition concerning the King;
My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. (Psalm 45:1 NKJV) 

Lord, thank You for working with us as writers of Scripture-based content. Thank You for being our faithful Teacher, Counselor, and Helper. Help us, please, to have hearts that overflow with good ideas and minds that work with You to develop those ideas into stirring and compelling devotions, Christian Living messages, blogs, and Bible studies.

Lead us to address the concerns and needs of our audiences in ways that touch their hearts, ignite their courage, and sustain their hope. Help us to develop examples and illustrations of principles in Your word that are memorable and helpful. And help us to practice and to promote in our writing, the proven strategies of survival in this world and of victory in Jesus over the world.

Our Lord, our King, make our hearts overflow with Your good news, with Your timeless promises, and with the assurances of Your love and faithfulness. Help us to be good writers for You and for those You love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
