Lists – The Reality We Have Because Christ Is Risen

What reality do we have because we believe in a living Savior?

  • Redemption & forgiveness – In [Christ] we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. (Ephesians 1:7 WEB*)
  • Adoption – For you didn’t receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15)
  • An inheritance – In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11 NKJV)
  • Citizenship – [He] delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love. (Colossians 1:13)
  • Closeness & fellowship – But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13)
  • No condemnation – There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. (Romans 8:1)
  • The Holy Spirit to help us – But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16)
  • Prevailing power in Christ – In all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)
  • Hope – Hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5)
  • Comfort – Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
  • Grace & strength – He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)
