2. Jesus teaches us spiritual truths as He did the disciples and the multitudes.

“Seeing the multitudes, he [Jesus] went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came to him, and he opened his mouth, and taught them.” (Matthew 5:1-2  AKJV*)

“He [Jesus] left there and went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan, and crowds gathered to him again. And again, as was his custom, he taught them. (Mark 10:1 ESV)

“Early in the morning he [Jesus] came again into the temple, and all the people came to him; and he sat down, and taught them.” (John 8:2 AKJV)

Jesus helps us to understand the Bible.

“Then opened he [Jesus] their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.” (Luke 24:45 AKJV)

“Think over what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything.” (2 Timothy 2:7 ESV)

“We know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20 NKJV)
