Application of Scripture

Tell the Secret

Secrets are for safe-keeping. You guard them. You mind your words so they don’t slip. But in Ephesians Chapter 3, there’s a secret that even God wants us to tell.

Ephesians Ch. 3  Tell the secret: preach the unsearchable riches of Christ that all may know them.

v.1-7 All believers are fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of God’s promise in Christ. (The promise is life and righteousness through faith in Christ.)

v.8-12 Therefore the unsearchable riches of Christ should be preached boldly by the church so that all may know them.

v.13-19  May God grant you everything that you need, not to lose heart in any tribulations that you encounter while preaching Christ.

  • v.16  May God strengthen your inner person with might through His Spirit.
  • v.17  May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith.
  • v.17-18  May you, being rooted and grounded in love, comprehend with all believers the width, length, depth, and height of the love of Christ.
  • v.19  May you be filled with all the fullness of God.

v.20-21  Glory be to God who is able to do in us, exceedingly above all that we ask or think.
