Why Did Jesus Come to Earth?
The Gospel of John Chapter 1 gives us ten reasons why Jesus became a Man.
Why did Jesus come to earth?
v.14 to show us the glory of the Father
v.17 to bring in the dispensation (the grounds upon which we relate to God) of grace and truth
v.18 to declare the Father to us as only Jesus can
v.29 to take away the sin of the world
v.36 to be the Lamb of God (an acceptable sacrifice for our sins)
v.39 to invite us to be with Him
v.41 to fulfill God’s promise to send a Messiah
v.43 to call us to follow Him
v.51 to be the Person through whom God blesses men
v.38-51 to call us to personal fellowship and ministry with Him
All who believe in Jesus as their Savior and Lord, enter into a relationship with Him that starts now and lasts for eternity. What a Savior! What a gift our salvation is. This gift is an adventure we can participate in every day as we walk with Jesus to know Him, love Him, and make a difference in the world around us.
In the comments section, tell us your top two favorites of why Jesus came. Let’s celebrate our Savior together!
